Automatic labeling is most predictable when it follows a category set you reviewed and approved, and leaves uncertain messages unchanged.

InboxRevamp maintains new Inbox mail only after you approve a category set. The existing typed classification pipeline chooses among enabled categories and a no-label outcome; low-confidence or provider-failure results do not add a label.
Choose the structure before automation
InboxRevamp first checks existing labels and a bounded sample of mail, then shows one proposed structure. Review the category names, descriptions, old-label mappings, and example messages before approval. Connecting Gmail alone does not start a Check or create a new organization.
Maintain the approved category set
After an approved historical Revamp, new Inbox mail can be classified into the enabled categories in that Maintain configuration. The classifier returns a typed category choice or NONE; application code resolves that choice to the user's saved category and Gmail label mapping. The model does not provide Gmail operations or label IDs.
Leave uncertain mail alone
A low-confidence result, unknown category choice, or provider failure should not be treated as a reason to guess. InboxRevamp's confidence gate produces a no-op when it cannot safely select a category. Gmail remains available for you to review and organize that message yourself.
Do not expect silent structure changes
Maintain is for future mail. It does not continuously re-audit the mailbox, create new categories by itself, merge labels, or reprocess historical messages. You may edit your categories for future mail. A new historical organization requires the explicit Run Inbox Check Again flow and a new approved plan.
Disconnect when you no longer want maintenance
Disconnecting Gmail stops InboxRevamp's access and future processing according to the documented shutdown and retention process. It does not delete Gmail messages or label objects. Account sign-in and Gmail authorization are separate choices, so mailbox access is requested only when you connect Gmail.
Nothing changes until you approve
InboxRevamp checks a bounded sample, shows one recommendation, and waits for your approval before it changes historical user-label memberships. Gmail remains your mailbox and source of truth.
